The Prompt
Create a series of product-focused advertisements using photography to showcase a particular product. Capture powerful imagery that emphasizes the product’s features while connecting with two distinct target audiences. Each ad should be designed to reflect the lifestyle and needs of its specific group, highlighting the versatility and appeal of the product through compelling visuals.
The Inspiration
This project stemmed from the two distinct target groups that I personally fall into when using my headphones—students who value noise-canceling features and gym-goers who rely on extended battery life. By focusing on both aspects of the headphones, I aimed to highlight the key features in a way that resonates with these audiences, blending both practicality and lifestyle in a single visual story.
The Process
The process began with a photoshoot, capturing both the intended users and their environments. For the student commuter, I focused on an outdoor campus setting to emphasize the noise-canceling feature, while for the gym-goer, I wanted to showcase the headphones in motion, highlighting their battery life and endurance. It was important to keep the product as the main focal point in both settings, so careful planning of lighting, composition, and environment was crucial to ensure the final images conveyed the right message.
The Final Product
The final images showcase two distinct yet complementary lifestyles: a student walking through campus outdoors, fully immersed in their environment with the headphones providing peace and focus, and a gym-goer captured mid-run on a treadmill, embodying the endurance and long-lasting battery life of the product. Both images feature the headphones as the centerpiece, with the settings reinforcing the product's features, while the taglines clearly tie back to the audience’s specific needs—“Experience the Power of Silence” for the commuter/student, and “Battery Life that Goes the Distance” for the gym-goer.
