The Prompt

Design a series of digital display ads based on a product-focused email newsletter, incorporating animated elements and a clear call-to-action. The goal was to apply consistent creative concepts across multiple ad sizes, optimizing for both visual impact and engagement while following hypothetical third-party ad specs.

The Inspiration

My inspiration for this project came from an email I got from one of my favorite jewelry brands, showcasing their 'new and improved coffee bean chain.' The playful and chic vibe of the email, paired with the brand's youthful energy, made it the perfect starting point. I wanted to stay true to their fun, trendy style while bringing in some fresh, eye-catching design elements to make the display ads pop.

The Final Product

For this project, I had to balance creativity with technical constraints, especially when working with file size limitations. To keep the animated GIFs within the required size, I used larger dimensions and kept the visuals simple with solid color backgrounds. This helped reduce the file size while maintaining the brand's vibrant and youthful energy.

For the smaller ad sizes, I used more intricate images without animation, allowing for more detailed visuals to shine through. The design style mirrored the playful, trendy vibe from the original email—bright, bold colors, clean lines, and a youthful feel, all aimed at grabbing attention and keeping the ads fun and engaging.
