AR/VR Composite Poster
The Teams of 122
The Prompt
Create a dynamic composite poster that creatively blends at least 7 photos into a cohesive visual narrative, while also featuring a QR code that links to an interactive AR/VR component. The goal—not only showcase advanced photo manipulation and design skills but also push the boundaries of immersive storytelling through augmented reality.
The Inspiration
This project was inspired by the shared love my roommates and I had for NFL football. In our little fan club of four at Apartment 122, we had three teams represented—the Cincinnati Bengals, New England Patriots, and Dallas Cowboys.
Every Sunday, like clockwork, we’d spend the whole day in our living room, taking turns cheering (and, let’s be honest, yelling) at the TV as our teams went head-to-head. That tradition became the driving force behind this design—capturing the shared spirit and love of game day, despite our differing team loyalties.
The Final Product
For this design, I wanted to highlight the key players from each team while showcasing the unique energy of our fan dynamic. The Bengals are front and center, representing the group’s “bias” to the team—since both my sister and I are Cincinnati fans—while the Cowboys and Patriots flank the sides to reflect the balance of loyalties in our group.
The dark, stormy gray sky in the background evokes the intense nature of game day (and also counted as photo #7), and the players are given a sense of power and presence as they’re framed by their respective team logos. The black fading up from the bottom directs focus toward the athletes while giving a backdrop for the title to really pop.
The AR/VR Component
For the AR component, I chose to create an immersive viewing experience of a highlight reel for the players from each team.
